In this second sequel, Just Cause 2 still tells the story of Rico Rodriguez, an agent from the Bureau of American Intelligence, The Agency. Rico is assigned to an island nation in Southeast Asia called Panau. His job was to find Tom Sheldon, his friend and teacher who was reported missing. But in his quest, Rico must create chaos to bring down the ruling dictatorial regime. For this purpose, Rico must be willing to work with three groups of criminals there.

The most interesting aspect of Just Cause 2 is a depiction of the state Panau. Panau exoticism exploited very well. With beautiful graphics quality, Panau Island created to pamper the eyes. In this game, Rico has a unique weapon called Grappling Hook is used to ensnare the opponent and drag him to the vehicle or just boarded the helicopter, and a special parachute. With both these objects, Rico is capable of swinging between buildings and jump from a high cliff without worrying about falling and died.
